Dear Member Dealers,

Your Association is proud to announce that David Waikem of Waikem Honda in Massillon has been nominated by his fellow dealers for the 2014 TIME Dealer of the Year (TDOY) Award.

The TDOY recognizes new-car dealers for exceptional sales performance and distinguished community service, and is held in cooperation with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).

David Waikem joined the family enterprise in 1978, where he had started as a “lot kid” and worked at the parts counter and as service manager. He held various other positions before rising to dealer principal at Waikem Honda and president of the Waikem Auto Family, which also includes Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Kia dealerships.

We wish Dave great success as he represents Northern Ohio in the National competition, which takes place at the NADA Convention in New Orleans, LA in January 2014.
